Problem Solving

Every Monday for maths we work on a problem solving problem, in groups or by independently. This afternoons focus was on multiplication and making groups.  Students had to make up the groups and say how many there are altogether.  For example: make 3 groups of 5 children, how many children are there altogether?
Here are some photos of us working together

Ryder's soup story
We are trying out some new things!
Ryder and Miss Bayley used the 'Showme' app on the iPad to publish his story today.

Making Soup

Yesterday in class we made soup. We all brought in 1/2 a cup of vegetables of our choice and a cup to drink out of. We added the vegetables and liquid to the crock pot first thing in the morning. It smelt delicious while it was cooking! Just before lunch we ate it. Some of us loved the soup and some didn't like it so much! Can you tell who from the photos?

Jump Jam for Star Jam

This afternoon we had a whole school jump jam session to fundraise for children with disabilities.  After a few hiccups - the book fair truck picking up books and the milk truck delivering milk just before we started and then the sound system playing up, we jump jammed for 30minutes.  All Room 10 joined in for the entire time and tried their best!

Book Character Dress Up Day

Today was the school wide book character dress up day. Every one looked great in their costumes! We had a parade in the school hall where Lucas (Toothless), Lewis (Hiccup), William (the Pied Piper of Hamlin), Ruby (Sofia the first) and Amelia (Cinderella) walked for the class.
Take a look at our photos from the day!
